Prior to entering the private sector as Executive Director of the University of Texas at Arlington Research Institute, the Hamilton native oversaw the management of 163 Army installations, with a $12 billion budget and workforce of 120,000. He is now the CEO of his own company, RLynch Enterprises, and recently published a book on adaptive leadership entitled Adapt or Die: Leadership Principles from an American General.

After earning his Bachelor’s in the US, the Ohio native lived in South Korea for two years, teaching English and coordinating a teacher exchange program. Research for his doctoral dissertation project on this topic is deeply rooted in issues of equality, social justice, and abolition.

Her organization, Women of Color Quilters Network, has been recognized by the International Labor Department in Geneva and the United Nations.
