Creative Aging Painting

This class will introduce students to acrylic painting basics and materials. Students will learn acrylic mixing strategies, color theory, and various approaches to painting including blending and glazing. Modeling form, rendering space, and studying masterworks will be the focus of this class. All supplies included in the cost of the class.

Creative Aging Pottery

Ages: 50+

Tuition: $45

Learn the basics of hand-building with clay to create pots, platters and more. Learn to work with coils and slabs and create surface textures with a variety of tools. Finished work will incorporate various glazing and decorating techniques.

Creative Aging Dance/Creative Movement

Explore the basics of ballet and modern dance, and the art of creative movement with instructor Michelle Davis of The Miami Valley Ballet Theatre. This class will also incorporate elements of yoga and neuro movement in order to improve strength, flexibility, and vitality. Suitable for all fitness and ability levels. Please wear comfortable clothing that will allow you to move freely.

Creative Aging Yoga

Ages: 50+
Instructor: Bevy Sue Hammons
Tuition: $25

Suitable for beginners or experienced students, this class explores the fundamentals of yoga to help calm the mind while improving flexibility, balance, and core strength. Classes begin with yoga breathing techniques and movements to warm muscles and joints followed by basic yoga postures. Each class ends with a guided deep relaxation leaving students feeling refreshed and energized. Suitable for all fitness levels. Wear clothes that allow you to move freely. Mats and props are provided, but students may bring their own.
