Hamilton (OH) – As the Fitton Center for Creative Arts 2023-2024 30th Anniversary Season winds down, its building usage ramps up. Bees have nothing on the community hub when it comes to busy.
We're our own hive of activity with 14 separate events on the calendar this week. None of which include our regular classes, off-site outreach education programs or community engagement events.
Fear not. All of those continue apace as well.
On-site events starting Thursday include everything from an academic honors banquet to a community organization meeting, from the public celebration of a civic leader to youth theater productions, from two different art gallery celebrations (both of which are FREE and open to the public) to our season-finale - Drag Show 3: Through the Decades.
We'll have guests in the theater, all five art galleries, the ballroom, the boardroom and the Vista Room. All in addition to artists in our usual studio classrooms.
Guests planning to be here the rest of the week should be aware parking could be tight. Nearby parking options include the Rapier & Bowling lot across the driveway immediately south of the Fitton Center or either of the Presbyterian Church lots to the east – one on Monument Avene, one on Court Street between Front and Monument. There is also plenty of street parking available in a several-block radius.
We encourage guests to plan ahead and to carpool if possible.
Our doors will be wide open all week - especially this weekend - and we love that. Thank you for making the Fitton Center such a vibrant destination. We hope to see you here soon.
The Fitton Center for Creative Arts is located at 101 S. Monument Avenue on the Riverfront in downtown Hamilton, Ohio.
