Hamilton, OH - In the quiet, sound carries.

Pianist Connor Chee's evocative play enraptured the audience to the point of pin-drop silence during the Fitton Showstoppers performance, Echoes of the Great Miami.
Working solo, paired with a violinist and accompanied by a Summermusik string quartet, Chee and the other musicians paid tribute to the ever-present power and importance of water during the March 22 show.
More than just water, Chee also spoke of - and played music inspired by - other elements sacred to his Navajo upbringing: swallows, coyotes, weaving and more.
Before the show, Logan York - Tribal Historic Preservation Officer of the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma - spoke about the relationship of the Miami tribe to the area and to the Great Miami River.
