Liberty Township, Ohio – The Fitton Center for Creative Arts and its StreetSpark mural program were on display at the 2024 Liberty Township Business Breakfast October 17.

The Arts in the Park Program was highlighted in the township’s annual report, while Travel Butler County touted murals in its award-winning “but” marketing campaign and Liberty Center discussed Fitton at the Foundry as a new tenant.
The Fitton Center offered three classes at Liberty Center starting September 10. Fitton at the Foundry served up Kids Drawing & Painting for ages 5 to 9, Watercolor Basics for ages 18 and up and Creative Aging Mosaics for ages 50 and up.
The inaugural classes attracted 10, 10 and five students, respectively. All of which were well received, according to student comments shared as the final classes of the Fall I session wrapped up this week.
“Lights up my creativity,” said one review.
“(We) love having a satellite location,” said another.
“We were at the Foundry in West Chester,” said a third. “It was beautiful weather outside, so we shopped around Liberty Center and had dinner at Outback before class.”
Still another said, “My family has been (Fitton Center) members for three years, but we loved having adult art classes to try closer to where we live.”
That was the goal – to bring a part of the Fitton Center experience to West Chester and give people a place to flex their creative muscles in a convenient setting.
(It seems to be working. The Creative Aging Mosaics class already more than doubled its enrollment for the Fall II session with 12 students registered.)
“We are grateful for this partnership with Liberty Center,” said Fitton Center Executive Director Ian McKenzie-Thurley. “We’ve been very well looked after there. Not only from the Liberty Center team, but also our fellow tenants. Sugary Clouds invited our kids for cotton candy after their first class and said they wanted to do it again for the Fall II session. Which is amazingly generous.
“The new space, the new setup, we're very pleased with how things have started. We'll make some adjustments and keep making it better for our students and our instructors. We're looking forward to seeing how things grow and are very happy to grow with Liberty Center.”
Fitton at the Foundry Fall II classes begin with Kids Drawing and Painting Tuesday, October 29, Water Color Basics Wednesday, October 30 and Creative Aging Mosaics Thursday, November 7. Register online right here or call 513-863-8873, ext. 110.
Scholarship applications for both Foundry and Fitton Center classes are due Friday, October 18, while early bird registration discounts at both locations run through October 21.
The Fitton Center for Creative Arts is located at 101 S. Monument Avenue on the Riverfront in downtown Hamilton, Ohio.
