"You can't just open up a can and call it soul food," she said. "It takes love."
The soul-food queen who went from a 24-year nursing career to cooking catfish under a tent with a five-day permit is about to open her third brick-and-mortar location in Sharonville.
But the featured speaker for the Fitton Center's Celebrating Self luncheon on February 5 said she has more to accomplish. (And that a Hamilton location for Mz Jade's Soul Food is not out of the realm of possibility.)
She also wants to bottle her sauces, get her grandmother's recipes in book form, connect small businesses around the region and the country, feed more people in need and inspire more people to reach their dreams.
All with love.
