Hamilton (OH) - The Fitton Center staff and faculty celebrated the holidays together at the new Third Eye Brewing Company tap room December 14.
Food, drinks, games, an ugly sweater contest and a poetic white-elepahnt gift exchange - including at least two actual white elephants - set the festive mood.
How festive? People from the Bilstein Christmas party on the other side of the tap room saw the excitement and crashed the Fitton gift exchange to make a swap with their crew.
(The Fitton team ended up with some Dragon Fire, a sparkling cherry wine complete with LED lighting built intop the bottle).
The party later opened up for the whole community.
Dozens of guests came by dressed in their own ugly sweaters to share a holiday toast with the team. Third Eye donated 10 percent of its tap-room beer sales from 5 to 9 p.m. to the Fitton Center as part of its Do Good Thursday program, resulting in a $200 gift.
The team returned to the Fitton Center Friday morning, December 15, for gallery viewings, Bake Sale shopping, ticket purchases, winter class registration and all its usual business. The building will be open next week (December 18 to 22), before its annual holiday closure.
The Fitton Center takes its long winter's nap starting December 23 before reopening Tuesday, January 2.
