Fine arts faculty from Hamilton City School District elementary buildings didn't have to go far for their professional development day March 19.
About 20 teachers from several different schools converged on the Fitton Center for a full tour led by Executive Director Ian MacKenzie-Thurley, Director of Education and Outreach Kate Rowekamp and Assistant Director of Education and Outreach Caroline Digiovenale.
In addition to seeing the facility - including the theater, teaching studios, ballroom and art galleries - the teachers heard about education offerings, outreach programs, community engagement and volunteer opportunities.
By the end of the afternoon, there was lively discussion on ways to grow the relationship between the school district and the Fitton Center. Stay tuned. Meantime, enjoy a few photos from the tour.
