QCC brings deep roster

Hamilton, Ohio – When Queen City Cabaret takes the Fitton Center stage for its Perfectly Marvelous performance, it will be more than the QCC founding artists performing.

Yes, Sarah Folsom and Matthew Umphreys are the face of the group, but they have a talented roster of artists joining them for the 7:30 p.m. show Saturday, February 15.

Starting with Two Sketchy Dames.

Veteran Fitton Center instructor Alison Rampa - who teaches both comedy and musical theater during summer camp season – teams up with Eileen Earnest to form the “50% sketch, 50% improv, 100% fabulous” duo.

Performing together since 2016, Two Sketchy Dames have appeared at the Detroit Improv Festival, Improv Festival of Cincinnati, Gatlinburg Improv Fest and headlined the Damn Good Improv Festival in Louisville. They performed their Comedy and Cocktails show at Tano Bistro in the Fitton: Outside the Box series during the pandemic.

The QCC Band features some of the top young musicians in the Tri-State. Sophia Troyer (bass) is a sophomore at the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music. She double majors in vocal and bass jazz studies and recently won the vocal division of the Cincinnati Arts Association’s Overture Awards.

Jack Mansfield (drums) studied Jazz Studies/Drum Set Performance at CCM under Art Gore and played with the university’s Jazz Lab Band. He also performs with several other local bands and is a private drum instructor at both his home studio and the West Chester Academy.

Niko Kordalis (guitar) earned his BFA in Guitar Performance at CCM. He has been teaching at the Cincinnati Music Academy since 2016 and performs locally in a variety of styles including jazz, classic country and musical theater.

Guest artist and choreographer Tomi Newman is a senior at CCM majoring in musical theater. Recent credits include resident ensemble member at Forestburgh Playhouse in NY, Charlie Price in Kinky Boots and Harry the Horse in Guys & Dolls.

Guest artist Madison Osment is Tomi’s musical theatre classmate at CCM. Their recent credits include Hand in In The Green, Olive Ostrovsky in 25th … Spelling Bee, Spring Awakening and She Loves Me at CCM, as well as Tammy in Escape to Margaritaville at Forestburgh and Guys and Dolls at The Carnegie.

Tickets for Perfectly Marvelous are $39 for Fitton Center members ($48 for non-members) and are available online right here, by phone at 513-863-8873, ext. 110 or in person at the Fitton Center box office.
