Summer Education Brochure

Hamilton, Ohio – It may be a day short of the official start of spring, but the Fitton Center for Creative Arts has its eye on summer.

The much-anticipated 2025 Summer Education Brochure – with cover art by 2024 summer camper Sophia Graf - drops today (Wednesday, March 19). Pick up physical copies at the Fitton Center or peruse a digital version online at the link right here.

The new catalogue features listings and descriptions for all camps, classes and workshops on tap for the summer education season, starting with Summer I classes and workshops (April 21 to May 30), followed by Camp Creativity (June 9 to July 25) and Summer II classes and workshops (July 7 to August 15).

Registration for all summer sessions opens on Monday, March 24. The Fitton Center offers an early-bird discount of $5 off per registration through April 14 for Summer I, June 2 for camps and June 30 for Summer II offerings.

In addition, the Fitton Center Scholarship Fund enables students of any age an opportunity to experience a class or camp at no cost. Teachers, counselors, family and friends should invite students who may benefit to apply; application forms are available in the main office at the Fitton Center and online right here. (Scholarships are limited to one class and one camp per student per program year.)

Summer sessions feature traditional favorites like pottery, drawing, painting, printmaking and mosaics courses, as well as newer offerings like digital art, sewing and embroidery. In addition to studio classrooms at the Fitton Center, classes continue in the Fitton at the Foundry studio at Liberty Center. And, for the first time, there will be summer camps at the Foundry location as well.

“We’re trying to serve as many people as possible,” said Director of Education and Outreach Kate Rowekamp. “The arts are important everywhere. We’ve had success bringing art classes to eastern Butler Country at the Foundry, so we thought we’d open up more opportunities there. It’s the same quality art instruction, just a little closer to home for people in West Chester and Liberty Township.”

In addition to the early-bird offer, Fitton Center members receive an additional discount for classes, camps and workshops. Annual memberships are 20 percent off for the month of March - $28 for individuals and $56 for families – and are available online right here, by phone at 513-863-8873, ext. 110 or in person at the Fitton Center.

The Fitton Center for Creative Arts is located at 101 S. Monument Avenue on the Riverfront in downtown Hamilton, Ohio.
