The (googly) eyes have it

The Fitton Center started its summer tour a little early.

Our outreach crew set up shop at New Miami Local School District Fine Arts Day Saturday, April 29.

Armed with thin sheets of magnets, gobs of glue sticks, scissors and an array of paint pens, markers, ribbons and googly eyes, we created a craft station for families across the district enjoying all sorts of artistic pursuits throughout the building. (To say nothing of the free cheese coneys Skyline Chili served up for the occasion.)

Take a look at some of the friends we made - and the bottlecap bug magnets they made - below.

Meantime, look for the Fitton Center out in the community at a lot of events in the coming months, including: Hamilton Pride - 12-6 p.m. June 3, Marcum Park, Hamilton Creative Arts in the Park - 10-11:30 a.m. June 15, Fort Liberty Playland, Liberty Twp. Creative Arts in the Park - 10-11:30 a.m. July 20, Fort Liberty Playland, Liberty Twp. Butler County Fair - 12-5 p.m. July 29, Hamilton Hamilton Police Department Open House - 5-8 p.m. July 29, Hamilton Creative Arts in the Park, 10-11:30 a.m. Aug. 10, Fort Liberty Playland, Liberty Twp.
