WACH-n-Soul

Hamilton, OH - Hundreds of people packed the Fitton Center Community Gallery for the opening celebration of the Women's Art Club of Hamilton third annual member show, Into the Light.

The WACH exhibition opened Saturday, March 8, at both the Fitton Center and the nearby Strauss Gallery on High Street. More than 50 artists have works on view in both venues through April 10. Many of the gallery attendees made their way from the first floor to the Carruthers Signature Ballroom on the third floor for the Jazz & Cabaret performance, Singin' & Swingin'.

The Cincinnati Contemporary Jazz Orchestra led by trumpeter Eric Lechlighter celebrated International Women's Day backing a trio of fabulous female singers - Kelly McKenzie-Thurley, Dixie Karras and Mandy Gaines - for two sets of sensational, soulful live music.

Both the art exhibition and the Jazz & Cabaret show enjoyed some television time, with a morning appearance on Local 12 the day before.

Enjoy some images from the exhibition and the show in the photo galleries below.
